Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using EXIF Scanner (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. The Service is operated by zirzibit. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

EXIF Scanner is a free, account-free web tool that lets you view, export, and clean EXIF/XMP/IPTC metadata from photos you upload. The Service is provided "as is."

3. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Upload unlawful content, content that infringes others' rights, or content obtained without authorization,
• Use automated tools to bypass rate limits or place excessive load on the Service,
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or interfere with the Service's operation,
• Use the Service to analyze another person's personal data without their consent.

We reserve the right to block an IP address or restrict access if we detect use that violates these rules.

4. Intellectual Property

You retain all rights to the photos you upload. zirzibit claims no ownership over your content; your photos are processed temporarily (for at most 24 hours) solely to perform the action you request, then deleted. The Service's own software, design, branding, and content belong to zirzibit.

5. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. The accuracy of metadata analysis depends on the file's original content, and zirzibit does not guarantee its accuracy.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, zirzibit is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service. Since your photos are automatically deleted within 24 hours, you are responsible for keeping your own copy if you need one.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on Cloudflare and Hetzner for infrastructure and on OpenStreetMap to display location maps. Those third-party services' own terms and privacy policies apply, and zirzibit is not responsible for their content or availability.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or block access we believe violates these terms, without prior notice.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any dispute arising from these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Türkiye.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
